Product Policy Manager
The RoleProAg is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Product Policy Manager to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of crop insurance product policy—primarily focused on Private Products. This role is responsible for ensuring product policy language, claims intent, and operational execution align with ProAg’s business strategy, regulatory requirements, and profitability goals. This Product Policy Manager works cross‑functionally with underwriting, claims, legal, compliance, sales, and product teams to drive clarity, consistency, and value across policy design and execution.
ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage private product policy strategy and policy language to ensure competitiveness, clarity, and alignment with underwriting standards
Review, recommend, and implement updates to policy language based on industry trends, regulatory considerations, and business strategy
Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure policies meet all regulatory and contractual requirements
Develop and maintain policy value propositions that support ProAg’s strategic direction
Ensure policy intent is clearly aligned with claims procedures and payment processes
Review and improve claims processes to support efficient and consistent policy execution
Gather and analyze insights from agents, field teams, and internal partners to inform policy improvements
Collaborate cross‑functionally with underwriting, claims, sales, and product teams on policy‑related initiatives
Support training and education efforts related to policy changes and product updates
Contribute to financial analysis and strategic planning to ensure product profitability and sustainability
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in crop insurance, product policy, underwriting, claims, or a related role
Strong understanding of crop insurance products, policy language, and regulatory considerations
Ability to analyze complex policy and claims scenarios and translate them into clear, actionable guidance
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions
Strategic mindset with attention to detail and operational execution
Pay TransparencyThe pay range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The hired applicant will be offered pay within the entire range based on the candidate’s geographic location, qualifications, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
