Apply via Dice today!Job OverviewTDC operates a complex software environment that requires a dedicated professional to support ongoing software maintenance, system architecture improvements, automation initiatives, process documentation, user support, and integration of newly introduced software solutions.This role requires strong expertise in virtualization technologies, including hypervisors such as Red Hat and VMware/Broadcom. The primary responsibility will focus on Virtual Machine (VM) deployment, administration, and maintenance.A Secret Clearance is required for this position.Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security ClearanceAdvanced Engineering degree requiredStrong experience with virtualization technologies and VM managementKey ResponsibilitiesSystems Engineering & Program SupportConduct program portfolio reviews to evaluate and recommend alternative solutions and strategies.Improve systems engineering processes and sustain technical baselines.Design and perform system-level testing to ensure subsystem and overall system performance meets approved specifications.Review engineering plans, system designs, and test results to validate compliance with program requirements.Technical Documentation & ReportingPrepare technical documentation defining and recommending system and subsystem characteristics.Develop management reports and deliver technical presentations supporting planning, implementation, and corrective actions.Apply engineering economy principles to support technical decision-making.System Validation & AnalysisPerform system validation activities, including development of evaluation criteria and procedures.Analyze and evaluate the performance of major engineering systems.Engineering & Operational SupportProvide systems and program engineering support across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, installation, and operational oversight activities.Deliver technical support and training for ongoing programs and initiatives.Support continued system evolution and fielding efforts.Risk Management & Strategic AnalysisSupport program and project risk management activities in accordance with Air Force SEAM processes.Perform:Problem and gap analysisTrade space analysisScience and technology roadmap analysisSet-based design for concept developmentMulti-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA)Cost-versus-capability trade-off analysisAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assigned.
