Python Data Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Python Data Engineer for a contract position with a Major Financial Services Firm located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This is a hands-on, technical role responsible for the design and development of database models, data processing jobs, and data extraction/transformation/loading (ETL) pipelines using Python. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with data infrastructure, application layer integration, and AWS cloud services.Responsibilities:Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load structured and unstructured dataProvide scoping, estimating, planning, design, development, and support services for project initiativesDesign, configure, deploy and maintain Python scripts to support AI project initiativesCollaborate on AWS infrastructure, including working with S3 for data storage and AWS Glue for ETL pipeline developmentContribute to Python-based front-end applications, supporting current interfacesDesign, develop, test, and implement application codeTrack progress and intervene as needed to eliminate barriers and ensure deliveryResolve or escalate problems and manage risk for both development and production supportRequirements:Proven experience in the design and development of database models and data/batch processing jobsStrong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and ETL processesAbility to write and optimize complex SQL queriesHands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, particularly S3 and AWS GlueExperience with the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and implementationDesired skills:Experience with Python-based front-end applicationsKnowledge of AngularPay range: $66.00 - $76.00 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
