Sr. Category Buyer

TrinityRail is seeking a Senior Category Buyer to join our Headquarters in Dallas, TX. This role will focus on indirect procurement with an emphasis on Corporate Spend supporting all Trinity facilities including headquarters, new railcar production, and railcar maintenance facilities. The candidate will manage supplier relationships, negotiate and renew contracts, and drive cost improvements across the organization.What You'll Do:Support RFPs and contract execution for corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Engineering, Shared Services, and Accounting.Manage corporate purchasing activities both within and outside the ERP systemIssuance of Purchase OrdersEnsure purchased products and solutions comply with company and regulatory standards, supporting Trinity’s business and production operationsCollaborate with corporate business leaders to complete orders, identify new procurement needs, and resolve invoicing and shipment issuesDevelop processes to resolve invoicing issues in conjunction with AP TeamAddress supplier discrepancies in price, terms, returns, supply, or quality through renegotiation, Replacement, or creditsCollaborate with legal and risk management to drive timely contract executionGenerate and maintain supplier partnershipsManage corporate purchasing activities both within and outside the ERP systemSupporting corporate vehicle fleet managementWhat You'll Have:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or an equivalent combination of experience6+ years of relevant experience preferredExperience in Oracle Fusion Procurement preferredExperience in contracting for HR, Engineering and other corporate functionsBilingual skills preferredContinuous improvement experience or mindsetEffective verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced computer literacy with Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to work collaboratively across all levels of the organizationExperience interfacing with and presenting to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) membersWillingness to travel (10%) to various plant locations across the USOnsite in Dallas, TX
