Inpatient Coding Specialist

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist, Remote. Key Responsibilities Review inpatient medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulations, and payer-specific requirements Collaborate with CDI, Quality, and Revenue Cycle teams to improve documentation and reimbursement outcomes Required Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding preferred 5+ years of medical coding experience required In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10/PCS Strong understanding of coding guidelines and industry best practices Ability to maintain established accuracy rates and daily coding quotas
