HR Project Staffing Coordinator
Job DescriptionJob Summary The HR Project Staffing Coordinator supports Houston Field Operations by coordinating hiring needs, managing candidate flow, and delivering exceptional service to both internal teams and external staffing partners. This role plays a key part in workforce planning, talent pipeline management, and overall HR process excellence.Job Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR contact for Operations leadership to align with hiring needs and workforce planning Act as the main liaison with external staffing agencies, ensuring clear communication of job requirements and recruiting priorities. Manage the flow of candidate submissions, ensuring timely review, follow-up, and movement through the hiring process Verify candidate qualifications and consult with the HR Specialist as needed Maintain strong, consistent communication with staffing agencies to review pipelines, address challenges, and share feedback for improvement Maintains awareness of existing and potential talent pipeline partners; collaborate with Operations and Workforce Development (WFD) teams to assess their effectiveness . Coordinates participation in hiring events, job fairs, and recruiting initiatives with staffing agencies and/or WFD. Provide support for internal referral program in partnership with the HR Specialists and Operations teams. Assists HR Specialist with onboarding tasks for direct hires. Track and report hiring metrics to Operations leadership. Recommend process improvements to enhance agency coordination, candidate flow and communication. Stay informed on industry trends and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Performs additional duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education High school diploma or GED. Experience 1-2 years of relevant office experience is required. Experience in commercial construction environments preferred. Familiarity with staffing agencies and basic hiring processes Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Skills Strong verbal and written communication. Highly organized; able to manage multiple tasks. Customer-service mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing needs. Collaborative team player with professional interpersonal skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Working Conditions Able to work a varied schedule to complete projects and meet deadlines in response to changing demands. Able to work in fast paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines. Able to perform work indoors in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office. Physical Requirements Able to demonstrate the manual dexterity to operate a personal computer effectively. Able to communicate orally in a clear manner. Able to hear oral communication either in person or on equipment such as telephone or mobile phone. Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time creating, composing and reviewing documents and spreadsheets. Able to operate office equipment, including telephone, mobile phone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner and calculator.
