We are a non-profit charter holder for two charter high schools in the Tucson area.Position expected to start in JulyPosition SummaryCurriculum planning and deliveryClassroom ManagementAssessmentProfessional DevelopmentAbility to provide quality instruction pertinent to the subject areaExtensive knowledge of cooperative learning strategies, differentiation, small group instruction, knowledge of developing formative and summative assessments to inform instruction Ability to incorporate research-proven teaching strategies into daily lesson delivery Be familiar with the AZ Mathematics State StandardsAbility to integrate reading and writing standards into lessonsExperience working with diverse populations Ability to maintain a positive attitude and build positive and appropriate relationships with studentsMinimum Qualifications And Competencies Bachelor or Masters degree in education or content area requiredArizona teaching certification requiredComprehensive knowledge of the AZ Math StandardsWillingness to collaborate with colleagues in planning for academic improvement in academic areas other than your own, as needed Deep understanding of inquiry-based instruction Willingness to teach multiple grades and subject levels Willingness to differentiate instruction Willingness to oversee/ advise extracurricular activities (student clubs, intramural sports, music instruction, etc.) Willingness to work with students before or after school to support their academic growth Experience utilizing community experts and community resources to enhance content instruction preferred Experience building student and parent relationships to improve student achievementExperience working with an underserved student populationEmployment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all required pre‑employment screenings and subject to credentialing checks to maintain compliance with licensing and contractual requirements.Must obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the AZ Dept. of Public SafetyOther requirements:Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Able to present operational information to personnel at all levels.
