CNC Machinist/Programmer

Operate/Program CNC lathes to repair/manufacture drill string components, casing, flanges, custom work, etc. We cut many standard API connections and some proprietary connections as well. 40+ hours per week competitive pay. Candidate must be local no shift work options available. Must be able to perform basic maintenance on machines such as oil, cleaning, tightening, etc. We are a growing shop here we need someone with good team work skills who can bring some knowledge to the table. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train someone with the correct background and skill set. We offer health insurance 85% of the employee and family paid, after 60 day probation period. *Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities: * * Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations. * Set up machinery for production runs * Identify and select proper machine tooling. * Ensure that the production parts meet specifications and verify their quality. * Measure and inspect production parts. * Follows lockout tag out procedures. * Proceeds with minimal supervision. * Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested. *Physical Demands:* * Regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. * Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. * Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. * Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. *Work Environment:* * Normally work in a machine shop environment. * Regularly exposed to moving parts. * Occasionally may be exposed to hazards such as loud noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, toxic and caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock. * The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
