Schedule Day Shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and alleviation of suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human responses, and advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice. Responsibilities Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care while managing a group of patients. Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources. Utilize a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administer medications according to policies. Participate in and support the Nursing Shared Governance Model and improvement initiatives. Engage in professional development, continuing nursing education, and complete all mandatory education requirements. Integrate nursing research and current evidence into practice. Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Adhere to United Health Services values and perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current NYS RN License BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing (RN) experience in a cardiac tele department Experience with TAVR, heart catheterizations, and cardiac drips Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty, and relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS) Why ARMStaffing?
