Interventional Radiologist - Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Oak Harbor, WA We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens position near Oak Harbor, WA. This opportunity is ideal for a physician with expertise in a broad range of interventional radiology procedures, offering the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. The position is available immediately and will continue on an ongoing basis, providing a flexible yet consistent work schedule. Key Responsibilities: Referral Management: Manage and respond to referrals to Interventional Radiology, working closely with referring physicians to discuss cases and provide timely and efficient services.Procedure Performance: Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including:Drain placementBiliary interventionsUrologic interventionsHepatobiliary interventions, including TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt), BRTO (Balloon-Occluded Retrograde Transvenous Obliteration), and GI bleed embolizationPE thrombolysis or thrombectomyPatient Care: Provide comprehensive care to both hospital inpatients and outpatients, ensuring high standards of service delivery.Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supported by experienced RNs and technicians, to deliver effective and compassionate patient care.Documentation: Utilize the Cerner EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and procedures. Schedule and Details: Shift Type: Varied.Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 6:00 PM, with night call and weekend call requirements.Location: Near Oak Harbor, WA.Start Date: ASAP.End Date: Ongoing, with the potential for long-term engagement.Practice Setting: Hospital-based, with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with additional compensation for call duties. Qualifications: Required: Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist with an active Washington state license.Certifications: BLS and DEA certification required.Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, with a strong emphasis on hepatobiliary and urologic interventions.Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a hospital setting with a varied and interesting caseload.
