This is a hands-on, physically demanding role - not just driving from point A to point B. Drivers are expected to load, unload, handle returns, and work outdoors in all seasons.What You'll DoSafely operate Class A or Class B trucks to deliver lumber and building materialsLoad and unload your own truck using forklifts, Moffett, and manual labor as requiredDeliver to active jobsites and load returns from customer locationsSecure loads properly and inspect materials for accuracy and conditionCommunicate with dispatch using mobile apps or tabletsComplete required logs, inspections, and delivery paperworkRepresent Koopman Lumber professionally with customers and jobsite personnelThis role requires physical effort and problem-solving - it's not dock-to-dock driving.RequirementsWhat We're Looking ForValid CDL Class A or Class BHoisting License (H-1C preferred)Experience operating Moffett and forklifts strongly preferredComfortable working outdoors year-round in all weather conditionsPhysically fit and capable of sustained, heavy workStrong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer serviceComfortable using smartphones or tablets for routing and communicationPhysical RequirementsAbility to frequently lift 80 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs independentlyFrequent bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, and material handlingAbility to pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical
