Senior Backend / Full-Stack Software Engineer (In-Office — Mechanicsburg, PA)Role SummaryYou’ll lead major backend domains and raise the bar on architecture, reliability, and delivery—while still shipping hands-on and collaborating others.What You’ll DoLead backend architecture and implementation using NestJS / Node.js / TypeScriptOwn key domains such as:downline/hierarchy engines, attribution logic, referral trackingcommission calculations with auditability and correctnessenrollment workflow orchestration, validation, and edge-case handlingdatabase performance, data integrity, and scaling practicesDesign robust Postgres schemas and optimize query performance (indexes, migrations, tuning)Improve engineering standards: testing strategy, code reviews, documentation, release practicesDiagnose production issues, run root-cause analysis, and implement preventative fixesTranslate evolving business requirements into stable technical designsQualifications6+ years of professional engineering experience (or equivalent)Deep backend expertise in Node.js / TypeScript (NestJS strongly preferred)Advanced PostgreSQL and data modeling experienceStrong system design instincts (security, correctness, performance, maintainability)Comfortable with frontend fundamentals (React/NextJS) to ensure smooth integrationMust be able to work in-officeNice to HaveExperience with complex tree/graph data structures and financial-style calculationsBackground jobs/queues, eventing patterns, workflow enginesObservability practices (logging/metrics/tracing) and production hardening
