The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, excel in independent and small-team environments, and demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision. This is an onsite position located in Arlington, VA, with flexible options.Daily tasks may include Supporting a variety of networks and systems in a mission-critical enterprise environment. Operate independently or small-team environments, providing technical solutions through critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Proactively seek out opportunities to learn new skills, technologies, and share knowledge with junior team members. Takes initiative to find, prioritize, and execute on tasks to include, but not limited to, systems administration, systems automation, security audits, and patch management. Professionally communicate with a mixed audience of both junior and senior technical peers, senior leadership, and government officials.QualificationsRequired Education / Experience Bachelors and 9 years or more experience. Masters and 7 years or more experience. Or 13 years of experience in lieu of degree. Active Security+ or CISSP certification. Recent, hands on, and in-depth experience working with RedHat Enterprise Linux and RedHat OpenShift. Recent, hands on, and in-depth experience managing, maintaining, and automating RHEL infrastructure. Strong ability to diagnose and resolve system performance issues. Recent, hands on, and in-depth experience utilizing virtualization and containerization technologies such as Vmware, KVM, or Docker. Intermediate to advanced experience with scripting language(s) – Bash and Python preferred. Intermediate to advanced experience with automation tools – Ansible preferred. Intermediate to advanced experience with networking technologies, protocols, and troubleshooting.Desired Education/Experience Familiar with managing and maintaining development or AI infrastructure. Familiar with monitoring and logging tools, platforms, or systems. Familiar with modern security standards and best practices such as DISA STIGS or CIS Benchmarks. Familiarity with Mac OSX and Apple products. Familiarity with Deep Web and Dark Web at the technical level. Familiarity with VPN technologies, protocols, and implementations at the technical level.Desired Certifications RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE). RedHat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), CompTIA Linux+.Clearance/Citizenship Requirements U.S. Citizenship. Active TS/SCI. Active CI Polygraph preferred. Ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.Target salary range $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
