Data Architect

Role DescriptionThis is a contract position for a Data Architect who will also serve in a Product Owner capacity. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data architecture to support organizational and product needs.Key responsibilities include leading data modeling initiatives, optimizing data integrations, ensuring strong data governance practices, and developing robust data management solutions. In addition, the candidate will act as a Product Owner by defining and prioritizing the product backlog, translating business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineering teams, and driving end-to-end delivery in an Agile/Scrum environment.This role requires someone who can bridge business and technology, provide architectural guidance, remove roadblocks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality data solutions aligned with product strategy.This is a hybrid contract role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, offering a mix of on-site and remote work.QualificationsExperience in data modeling, database development, and data integrationExpertise in data governance, data security, and data quality managementProficiency with relational and non-relational database technologiesKnowledge of cloud-based data solutions and data analytics platformsStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldPrevious experience in architecture and design of complex data management systems is preferred
