PlayCore expresses a strong dedication to its mission and values by developing play and recreation products and programs to meet the unique needs of each community we serve.The Manufacturing Engineer Intern supports the Company Mission and Values by providing industrial and manufacturing support through the application of methods analysis and work measurement time studies, under moderate supervision.QualificationsQualified candidates will be a junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Management with an accredited engineering school.Basic knowledge of Lean principles is required.Strong initiative, interpersonal and team skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.The ability to multi-task and work well under deadline pressure.Solid analytical skills.TRAVELTravel will be minimal.Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as technical specifications, professional journals, and blueprints. Must have the ability to write routine reports and documentations, as well as be able to speak effectively within the organization.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. To be successful one must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, and individual should be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint software.Other SkillsProfessional e-mail, written and oral communication is required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
