Human Resources Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned HR Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of LTA Manufacturing human resources practices and processes based at our Elkhart facility. As the HR Manager, you will manage as a player-coach with a small team and be responsible for a wide range of HR duties including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefits administration. The HR Manager will also oversee front office operations and support organizational change initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring safety compliance. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Key Responsibilities: HR Generalist Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters including employee relations, policy implementation, and conflict resolution. Manage the recruitment and onboarding processes including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring new employees. Oversee compensation, benefits administration, and payroll functions. Lead performance management, coaching, and employee development initiatives. Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements. Team Management: Supervise and manage an HR support staff, providing mentorship, guidance, and support. Office Management (Preferred): Assist with front office management tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Oversee office supply management, vendor relations, and general office upkeep. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience managing a small team. Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). Experience with front office management is a plus. Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex employee relations matters. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for prolonged periods during office tasks and meetings. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during factory walkthroughs, audits, and training sessions. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, such as moving office supplies or equipment. Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel occasionally when setting up or inspecting equipment. Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer operation, paperwork, and managing small office equipment. Ability to travel within the facility, including up and down stairs, and across manufacturing areas as needed for audits or safety inspections.
