Inspector I - 3rd Shift

Inspector IThe Inspector I position plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction through thorough visual inspection of products. This position is responsible for examining, evaluating, and ensuring products meet established quality standards and customer specifications. The Inspector I also conducts proper packaging operations, while adhering to safety protocols and workplace organization standards. The role serves as the primary quality checkpoint in the production process, requiring keen attention to detail, strong visual acuity, and consistent application of quality standards. This position requires an individual who demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality while maintaining productivity standards in a manufacturing environment.Hours: 11PM-7AM Sun-ThuAn additional $2.50/hr. premium added to salary for hours worked between 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.Essential Job Functions:Perform thorough visual inspections of products according to customer specificationsIdentify defects based on established quality standardsMonitor product consistency and conformity to requirementsEscalate quality defects to Quality Lead as appropriatePack products according to specified proceduresApply appropriate labels and packaging materialsEnsure proper product orientation and arrangementParticipate in safety improvement programs/projects including BBSOs and 5S eventsMaintain organization and cleanliness of work area responsibilities including work area cleaning.Qualifications:Education & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredPrior manufacturing experience a plusRequired Skills:Ability to understand technical instructionsStrong attention to detailExcellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to quickly identify and sort finished productBasic computer use is requiredProblem solving skillsAdditional Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of ageMust pass pre-employment assessmentDrug screening requiredBackground check requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Quality inspection techniquesAbility to understand and follow Safety, Food Safety and GMP requirementsAttention to detailAccuracy in inspectionTime managementWorkspace organizationHand-eye coordinationAbility to meet physical requirementsPhysical Demands:The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to:Capability to lift and move up to 50 poundsVisual acuity for detailed inspection workStrict compliance with personal hygiene standards.Ability to climb ladders safelyExtended periods of standing and walkingExtended periods of twisting at waist and reachingExtended periods of wrist rotationAbility to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)Work Conditions:The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to:Noise levels above 80 dBManufacturing equipmentSolvents, fumes and inksVariable temperaturesMust be able to work flexible shiftsMay require nights, weekends, and holidays.Printpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
