Title Clerk

Job Title: Title Clerk Job Overview: As a Title Clerk, you will be responsible for processing legal documents related to vehicle transactions. You will ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your attention to detail and understanding of DMV procedures will contribute to the smooth and lawful transfer of titles. Responsibilities: 1. Document Processing: Prepare and process title documents for vehicles being bought, sold, or transferred. 2. Verification: Verify information on title documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. 3. Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with state and federal laws and regulations governing vehicle title transfers. 4. Record Keeping: Maintain records of all transactions and related paperwork. 5. Customer Service: Assist customers with questions regarding the issuance of their title and/or tags for their new purchase, including acquiring additional documentation when needed and providing updates. 6. Communication: Communicate with customers, dealerships, financial institutions, and government agencies as needed to facilitate transactions. 7. Problem Resolution: Resolve any issues that arise during the title transfer process, such as missing documents or discrepancies in information. 8. Data Entry: Enter information into computer systems accurately and efficiently. Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in related fields preferred. Proven experience with vehicle title work via DMV or Dealership Current North Carolina Notary Public or willingness and ability to obtain North Carolina Notary Public. Strong understanding of DMV documentation and procedures. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in computer applications such as Google Docs, Google Sheets and title processing software. Strong communication and customer service skills.
