Position Summary: Our Pain Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of the Practice Manager and Attending Physician/Advanced Practice Provider. Responsible for assisting all clinical providers as needed in the clinical setting while adhering to all pain management policies and procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Rooms all patients according to the specifications of the clinic and providerPrepares charts for all clinical patientsPerforms in-take of all required patient vital signs and clinical information with proper documentationAssists with prescriptions, work restrictions, and services ordered entry as required by providerPerforms set up and administers injections under provider supervisionEnters all required information into the system according to Pain Management protocolCollects, packages and documents all UDS's as requested from provider and according to regulationCompletes Checklists and related paperwork as required for Blood Thinners, Procedures and RFAsCleans and stocks assigned exam roomsAdheres to proper universal precautions when required in the clinical settingResponsible for reviewing and adhering to company practices and clinical policies and proceduresAdditional duties as requested according to position scope of practiceMake appointment reminder calls to patients for the following workdayComplete given checklist of tasks to prepare for the following workdayRegularly check voicemails throughout the day and return calls as neededInteract with other clinics/providers to obtain patient records when needed or to send records to other clinicians Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or GEDCompletion of the Medical Assistant certification program preferred but not requiredCurrent BLS certification required, class must have been at least hybrid if not completely in personCurrent ACLS certification requiredBilingual in English and Spanish preferredAccess to a reliable vehicle Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 Job Type: Full-time Work Location: Lakewood Clinic, 100% onsite, in person Hours:Monday-Thursday: 8:00AM to 12:00PM, 2:00PM to 6:00PMFridays: 8:00AM - 1:00PM Benefits: 401(k) matchingDental, Health and Vision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offShort- and Long-term disabilityPTO plus paid holidays
