The Material Handler works closely with production moving material and product between storage areas and production departments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for this position include the following,Route incoming items to storage or work area.Assign locations when required.Store articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.Receive manufactured parts into the stockroom by entering part numbers into computer system.Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.Pick components for manufacturing orders.Move parts from one work station to another in accordance with parts routing.Fill orders or issues supplies from stock including pulling repair orders from pick lists and machine orders from shop orders. Deliver to designated areas.Distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued.Maintain shortages.Perform cycle count inventory of stock, resolve discrepancies and maintain reports.Maintain inventory and other stock records.Compile reports on adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes.Mark part numbers on articles.Operate company car or truck to deliver and pick up parts and/or supplies to outside vendors.Assemble cardboard containers or select preassembled containers. Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.Operate fork-lift truck, electric cart or use hand truck to move material and product between storage and work areas.Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. TEDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent and 3 to 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience entering data and retrieving information data from PC or main-frame computer system. Knowledge of inventory transaction processing. D365 experience a plus1st shift
