This role is responsible for conducting detailed reviews of loan files, documentation, and internal processes to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and adherence to company policies. On a day-to-day basis, the Internal Review Specialist will validate data, verify required documentation, and identify discrepancies or potential risks, escalating issues when necessary. The role includes preparing clear review summaries, maintaining organized records, and supporting internal and external audit activities. The Internal Review Specialist will collaborate with operations, underwriting, and compliance teams to provide feedback, recommend process improvements, and help maintain consistent quality and control standards.QualificationsStrong analytical and review skills, including the ability to examine financial and loan documentation with high attention to detail.Knowledge of lending processes, regulatory requirements, and internal control practices within a financial or lending environment.Proficiency with office and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, loan origination or servicing systems, and document management software).Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft concise review findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple files, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.Ability to work on-site in Nice, CA, in a structured, team-oriented environment while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.Prior experience in quality assurance, internal audit, loan review, or compliance in the financial services industry is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
