Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. As a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, you will ensure safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, using your assessment and clinical skills to achieve the best outcomes for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations.Schedule/Hours:Contract position; schedule details to be provided during the interview process.Qualifications & Experience:Valid RN license with Operating Room experience requiredProficient assessment skills across patient lifespans, from pediatric to geriatricDemonstrated competency in clinical skills supporting patient care delivery and teamworkFamiliar with use of emergency equipment and protocols in perioperative settingsStrong documentation skills, with a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelinesAbility to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA standardsCore Responsibilities:Perform systematic assessments and deliver individualized patient care throughout the surgical processProvide competent, appropriate direct nursing care aligned with the specific needs of surgical procedures and anesthesia typesAccurately document patient progress, nursing interventions, and patient education in electronic health recordsUphold professional practice standards, adhering to organizational policies and seeking opportunities for professional developmentFoster patient satisfaction by communicating courteously and positively with patients, families, and the care teamEnsure patient safety by strictly following National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocols, including accurate patient identificationConduct pre-admission, pre-operative, and postoperative education and assessments, actively involving patients and familiesSupport pre-admission testing, validating orders for accuracy based on anticipated procedures and patient health statusIf you are ready to make a meaningful impact on patient care in the operating room and contribute to a high-performing surgical team, we encourage you to apply today.
