Legal SecretaryGrant Law, P.C.Position SummaryThe Grant Law, P.C. is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team in the Bloomington, Indiana office. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, and provide exceptional administrative support to attorneys and staff. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors and plays an essential role in the day-to-day operations of the firm.QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients, staff, and visitors. Strong organizational and time-management abilities with keen attention to detail. High level of dependability and professionalism. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook; basic knowledge of Excel required. Ability and willingness to learn new software systems and technology. Self-motivated with a commitment to professional growth and development. High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Prior experience as a legal assistant or court reporter preferred. Pass a background check.ResponsibilitiesConduct client intake interviews by phone. Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails in a professional manner. Schedule appointments, meetings, and maintain attorney calendars. Draft legal correspondence and court pleadings. Assist with case management and file organization. Process client payments. Perform occasional errands to local government offices. Provide administrative support to the Director of the Recovery Division, attorneys, and additional staff as needed. Welcome and assist office visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
