Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in contributing to increased operational efficiencies and underlying accounting team data management. Location:Indianapolis, IN (in-office) HOW WILLYOU HELP USGROW? Perform weekly/monthly balance sheet reconciliations and related journal entries for assigned accounts Prepare quarterly royalty reporting and quarterly scholarship valuation roll forwards Issue customer credit and debit memos as needed Audit customer pricing and update annual pricing in the ERP system Track and execute customer agreements Oversee and manage Scouting Council incentives Oversee and manage the Trails End Rewards program, including costing and promotions Prepare and analyze customer payout schedules Manage Budgets for departments as assigned Assist Controller with monthly SG&A actuals vs. budget variance analysis for assigned areas Assist with annual 1099 preparation and issuance Assist with providing support to external auditors at year end Review and approve purchase order spend requests Prepare ad hoc financial and operational reports as needed Serve as primary payroll backup Monitor and respond to credit card disputesRequirements: WHATDO YOU NEEDTO HAVE? Bachelors degree in accounting 4+ years of related work experience Experience in a small-mid size scaling company, tech industry background is a plus Handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines Strong organizational skills and detail oriented Desire to make the accounting processes more efficient and effective Interest in understanding FP&A as well as accounting Team player mindset, willing to learn and take on new responsibilities Ability to use analytical thinking skills to solve problems Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience with Sage Intacct ERP software a plus Domo Reporting experience a plus Familiarity of AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot etc.) is a plus HOW WILLWE HELP YOUGROW?
