Manufacturing Engineer

TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer TYPE: Direct Hire LOCATION: New Brunswick, NJ ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite START DATE: September 2024 SHIFT: Day Shift We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including workflow, layout, and equipment selection, to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. Evaluate current manufacturing processes to identify areas for enhancement. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations. Conduct research programs to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes. Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Provide decision-making support by calculating production, labor, and material costs. Collaborate in cross-functional teams for process improvement projects, new product launches, or facility expansions, managing timelines, resources, and budgets to meet project goals. Develop manufacturing processes based on product requirements, research findings, and consultations with equipment suppliers. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering. Preferably 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering. Proficiency in CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software. Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, consensus-building, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in cross-functional teams within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Proactive individual with strong decision-making and project execution abilities. Demonstrated core values in leadership and hands-on experience driving sourcing initiatives to support product development teams. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
