Assistant Project Manager - K12 Buildings (Lower Hudson Valley, NY)

We are looking for a driven and collaborative client-focused Assistant Project Manager to grow with our team. Reporting into the Project Manager, you'll provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and adding value to the business by applying proven project management techniques. As an Assistant Project Manager based at the project site in Lower Hudson Valley, NY you'll have an opportunity to work on an active project coordinating the progression of trades and field staff. You will participate in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings following projects from commencing of construction to occupancy by end users. You'll oversee work completed by contractors and consultants is of the highest quality with safety being our highest priority. You will also provide support to the project team by developing and maintaining project cost/change controls, project budget, and change order estimates/negotiations. Here's What You'll NeedBachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering or related disciplines 5+ years of experience working on construction or civil projects Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems, and components Knowledge of construction contract administration during the construction phase Knowledge of or experience with construction document controls software or applications Experience managing a Document Control effort for a large-scale construction project Experience monitoring and managing RFI's and submittals Experience with project financial/cost management Previous experience in a construction environment, with an understanding of the construction process and coordination of various entities in the industry Ideally, You'll Also Have: Ability to review construction contract document and drawings to establish base scope and the ability to analyze and track changes to project scope Previous experience working on K12 construction projects Experience with field inspections and reporting LocationsBeacon, New York, United States Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
