Job Title: CEI Inspector - UtilitiesWork Location: Atlanta, GASalary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interviewDuties/Responsibilities:Ability to read and interpret roadway and structure plans, contract specifications, schedules and quantitiesMonitor the contractor's on-site construction activities and performing inspections to ensure conformance to project plans and specifications and document processPrepare daily field reportsEnsure quality assurance is met for projectMeets scheduling and attendance requirementsUnderstands and interprets schematic drawingsWork on interstate widening project that requires utility monitoringInspect installation of all utilities on the projectEducation/Experience:High School Diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.3+ years of related work experience in utilities inspection as a part of an interstate improvement project.Experienced in GDOT manuals, specifications and protocolsFamiliar with traffic control plans including but not limited to traffic shifts, detours, lane closures or other activities that disrupt traffic flowKnowledge of the properties, characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses of the materials used in constructionMust have a valid driver's license and be insurableFamiliar with GDOT Utility Coordination procedures during constructionPhysical Requirements:Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignmentsAbility to carry required instruments and equipmentAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.A supportive and collaborative work environment.
