Duration: 6-12 months contract, with potential conversion to Full-Time
Role Overview
We are seeking a Server-Side Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, and working knowledge of Python to join our premier Media & Entertainment client//'s engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, and integrations that power enterprise-grade applications. This is an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term career potential.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based server-side applications and APIs.
Use Python for scripting, integrations, or data processing as needed.
Work on personalization and recommendation features within core applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of professional backend/server-side development experience.
Strong proficiency in Java (Core & Advanced), Spring Boot framework.
Hands-on experience with Python for backend services, scripting, or data processing.
Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools (a plus).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
Nice to Have
Exposure to data engineering concepts (ETL, pipelines, data workflows).
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
Familiarity with personalization or recommendation engines.
