This is an exceptional opportunity to advance your career while working alongside a collaborative healthcare team that values expertise and compassion.Required Skills:Valid NY State LicenseMinimum of 2 years recent surgical and hospital experienceCertification in AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLSProficiency in performing wound cauterization, vessel control, suturing, and hemostasisAbility to position patients, assist in suturing, closing skin, and applying pressureSkilled in suction, drainage, irrigation, and immobilization techniquesExperience with EPIC charting systemExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong teamwork and adaptability in fast-paced settingsNice to Have Skills:Experience in General Surgery, OB/GYN, or Orthopedic specialtiesFamiliarity with EPIC electronic medical recordsAbility to handle multiple assignments including OR and floor coverageKnowledge of automated medication dispensing systems (Pixys)Preferred Education and Experience:Certification in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited programAt least 2 years of recent surgical support experience in a hospital settingProven ability to manage adult acutely ill patient populationsOther Requirements:Availability for upcoming August coverage with potential extension until year-endWillingness to work day shifts, weekday and weekend call, including night shiftsMust adhere to hospital dress code, safety standards, and professional appearance policiesOvertime must be pre-approved; leave promptly requested with 2-hour notice for call-insNo cell phone use during clinical hours; professional attire requiredThis unique role offers competitive hourly pay of $152.88, weekly direct deposit payments, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick leave, and reimbursement for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses.
