Remote Senior Estimator – Steel & Metal Building ProjectsWe're seeking an experienced Estimator to take ownership of pricing and bid strategy for complex commercial and industrial building projects, with a strong emphasis on structural steel and metal building systems.This job is Remote with periodic travel Must have experience in pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), structural steel, or commercial/industrial construction.Must have 6+ years' experience with MBS Software to be consideredMetal Building Software RequiredDay to day Duties:Lead the end-to-end estimating process for mid- to large-scale construction projectsAnalyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scopeComplete detailed material quantifications across structural and building systemsDevelop accurate project budgets covering materials, subcontractors, and laborEngage with vendors and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate pricingIdentify risks, scope inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve cost efficiencyProduce bid submissions, proposals, and pre-construction documentationPartner closely with internal teams including sales, engineering, and operationsContribute to bid strategy decisions to ensure competitive yet profitable outcomesSupport project handoff and provide cost insight throughout project lifecycleMaintain and refine cost data for future estimating accuracyGuide and mentor less experienced team membersDelivering reliable, well-structured estimates aligned with business goalsLeading complex bids with confidence and minimal revisionsBuilding strong partnerships across departmentsContinuously improving cost accuracy through data and analysisSupporting team development and knowledge sharingWhat You Bring6+ years of estimating experience in steel, metal building systems, or commercial constructionExperience pricing technically complex structures (large spans, specialty buildings, heavy structural components)Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and market trendsHands-on experience with estimating tools and takeoff software (Bluebeam or similar)Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with detailed dataAbility to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersLimited travel may be required depending on project needsJob Disclaimer:Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
