Senior Accountant

The company employs around 1,400 people across its 13 locations and sells its products in over 50 countries worldwide.We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team at our medical device manufacturing facility in Warsaw, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for cost accounting functions including cost analysis, standard costing, inventory valuation, variance reporting, and supporting budgeting processes. You will also work closely with the Director of Finance providing support to the operational teams. Your work will directly impact strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across manufacturing and supply chain departments.Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and set standard costs for manufactured products while monitoring, analyzing, and resolving manufacturing cost data in SAP to ensure accurate product costing and marginsPrepare detailed cost reports with variance analysis against standards and present actionable insightsManage manufacturing inventory report and assist with inventory accounting including month-end, physical inventories, and reconciliationAssist in the preparation of annual budgets for the manufacturing and operational teamsAssist with current costing procedures and recommend improvements to strengthen controls and improve accuracy and efficiencyCollaborate with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to identify cost, capacity, and process improvements to increase margins and support sales growthAssist audits and compliance with internal controls and SOX requirementsProvide assistance and backup support for monthly sales commissions and quarterly sales rebate processesSupport the management and analysis of tariffs and import duties to ensure compliance and cost accuracyYour QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5–7 years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device or life sciences industryStrong knowledge of standard costing, cost accounting principles, and GAAPExperience with SAP or other comparable ERP system (e.g. Oracle, NetSuite) is preferred Experience in PowerBI is a plus Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and large data setsCPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not requiredExcellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
