Material Handler

Preform Solutions, Inc. is a trusted manufacturer of custom plastics for the packaging industry, with over 25 years in Sioux Falls. We currently are hiring full-time Material Handlers. We have a variety of shifts (see below) including days, nights, and weekends. This is a great position for high energy self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals that enjoy a fast-paced production environment. The primary task of the Material Handler is to work with raw materials, monitor production lines, complete quality checks, and move finished goods into inventory. Your contribution is valued-we are a locally-owned business with a team atmosphere. We know your time is important-you will earn shift differential for qualifying shifts. JOB DUTIES Monitor level of production materials and load resin or other materials as needed Move products using sit-down forklift and/or pallet jack Quality check and quality audit products to ensure high quality finished goods Record quality information onto company documents and in electronic tracking system Move finished goods into inventory and accurately record location Stack finished goods into columns Build boxes and lids Maintain a clean work environment Use of company smart phone during work time to scan and record information about finished product and inventory Assist other departments as needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Warehousing, production, or material handling Works well with others and a team player Enjoys fast-pace environment Strong communication skills Strong reading and writing skills-electronic documentation throughout shift will be required Ability to learn/use company programs using mobile phone technology Self-motivated Detailed and organized Dedicated, dependable- regular work attendance is expected and rewarded Prior Forklift Experience preferred Must follow company food safety requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance Ability to stand/walk on concrete for long periods of time Ability to use ladders, climb up and down sit-down forklift Ability to multi-task Ability to work independently Overtime may be available by picking up extra shifts with management approval. Shift availability may vary and will be discussed further during the interview process. Shifts: Weekday Dayshift (no differential) Monday-Wednesday 7am-7pm Thursday 7am-1pm Weekday Nightshift-$1.25/hour shift differential Monday-Wednesday 7pm-7am Thursday 7pm-1am Weekend Dayshift-$1.50/hour shift differential Thursday 1pm-7pm Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm Weekend Nightshift-$2.50/hour shift differential Friday 1am-7am Friday-Sunday 7pm-7am Work may be required on holidays that fall during regular work schedule; additional pay will be applied per company policy. COMPENSATION This full-time position includes our comprehensive benefit package of Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, and 401k plan. Start earning PTO on day one!
