Lead Crane Mechanic

Job Description:Responsible for performing PM and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems (including troubleshooting onboard computer systems), hydraulic systems (booms, outriggers, pumps), brakes and other basic componentsMust have the ability to work on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers and miscellaneous equipmentMust work well and communicate effectively with operators and other mechanicsCompetitive pay, company or union benefitsFull - time hourly position, excellent benefit packageQualifications:Minimum of 3 years' experience in diesel maintenance with proven troubleshooting skillsExperience in crane operations (CCO is highly desirable)Must work safely in a fast-paced environment - many times under pressureExperience in diesel, gasoline and propane enginesProven ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematicsMust have appropriate ASE certificationsWilling to travel for days to weeks at a time, sometimes with limited noticeCreative thinking skills to make continuous improvementsWilling to workday and night shifts, weekends and holidaysBasic rigging knowledge and experience in the heavy construction business is helpfulMust pass drug test, fit for duty test and background checkPURPOSE - Barnhart is built on a strong foundation of serving others.
