Distribution Supervisor

Overview: Distribution Supervisor We are a sporting goods retailer with over 250 locations throughout the Midwest. Due to growth and expansion, we need to add a Floor Supervisor to our fast-paced Distribution Center Team located in Marion, IN. This position is responsible for leading their team in achieving productivity goals while maintaining a positive work environment. Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Reviews reports to determine daily department staffing levels. Promotes and supports safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries. Plans daily production goals. Maintains positive employee relations and records on a daily basis. Conducts employee counseling, reviews and evaluations. Conducts weekly and monthly staffing meetings with Operations Managers. Utilizes Standard Operating Procedures to correct and coach associates. Qualifications: Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of specific functions within a distribution center. Excellent employee relations skills. Good organization and prioritization skills. Acute attention to detail. Experience: Must have 2 years’ experience successfully supervising a department within a large distribution center environment. Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
