This role will contribute to modernizing advisor-facing experiences by embedding AI-enabled orchestration into existing workflows and the development of scalable backend services that enable intelligent, conversational platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong backend engineering skills with the ability to work closely with business and global technology stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services supporting NLP and chatbot solutionsContribute to technology transformation initiatives, driving innovation and adoption of cloud-native platformsCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, priorities, and objectivesTranslate business needs into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutionsAct as a local liaison between New York and India technology teams, ensuring effective communication and delivery alignmentBuild and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with business and technology stakeholdersProvide thought leadership on backend, NLP, and conversational AI solutions and identify opportunities where technology can improve business outcomesSupport development, testing, deployment, and operational readiness of applicationsRequired Skills & Experience:Full stack development with strong knowledge in Python in a Unix environment.SOA: Webservices (REST/SOAP), XML/JSON Processing, Swagger, Open SpecExperience with Gen AI based applications, LLM, Agentic, RAG and Vector DBMessaging: IBM MQ/JMSSource Control, Build Packaging: Git, Ivy, Maven/GradleObject Oriented Analysis and Design, SOLID principles, Clean code, Refactoring, Design patternsTest Automation (Unit Test and/or Functional Testing)Solution Design and ArchitectureDistributed application designCloud architectures, Performance Engineering, ScalingDeep familiarity with modern software development and design concepts encompassing a range of languages and platforms.Experience building and consuming RESTful APIsAbility to work effectively in a global, distributed team environment
