Job Description
Summary:
The registered nurse promotes and restores patient’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patient, visitors, and families.
Education And Credentials
Responsibilities:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program preferred. Current NY licensure as a Registered Nurse required. All nurses BLS upon hire or within 3 months, ACLS – Within 1 year of hire. Emergency Department-PALS, ACLS, NRP – Within 6 months of hire. OB-NRP – within 12 months of hire, STABLE – within 12 months of hire. Surgical Services - PALS – Within 6 months of hire. Requires critical thinking skills, working collaboratively with a variety of licensed and non-licensed professionals internal and external to hospital operations, application of clinical knowledge and skills in performance of patient care in new and evolving situations, clear communication of educational materials and clinical procedures, clinical administration of a full patient assignment, decisive judgment often exerted in emergent situations, time management and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Experience
Other information:
ED – One year of acute clinical experience required. Surgical Services and ICU – Six (6) months of acute clinical experience preferred.

Salary Range: $40.18 - $52.04
