Remote Senior Embedded Linux Engineer

Role OverviewA Senior Embedded Linux Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining embedded Linux systems, including kernel drivers, system software, and hardware integration for defense applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and debug Linux kernel drivers and low-level system software for embedded platforms, wireless modules, and camera sensors.Build and integrate software stacks for RF communication, port embedded Linux on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms, and work with device trees and bootloaders.Perform hardware-software integration, including camera tuning and debugging with tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.Collaborate with hardware teams to validate designs and support system bring-up and troubleshooting.Optimize embedded systems for performance, stability, RF compliance, and customer support at the driver and system level.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.Extensive experience with Linux kernel development, driver debugging, and embedded Linux platforms (e.g., Qualcomm Snapdragon, NXP i.MX).Solid understanding of MIPI CSI, camera sensor integration, V4L2, and wireless driver stacks.Proficiency with cross-compiling, kernel/u-boot customization, and hardware debugging tools.Preferred experience in PCB bring-up, sensor initialization, RF tuning, camera tuning, and embedded build systems like Yocto or Buildroot.U.S. military veteran or active security clearance is a plus.Additional Qualities: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving mindset, ability to work independently, and flexibility to travel as needed.
