Company Description Beatbox is a new karaoke concept designed to make engaging with music more accessible, social, and fun. Opening its first location in 2025 in New York City, Beatbox offers a dedicated space for people to gather regularly and connect through shared musical experiences. The venue is built for community, bringing guests together outside of traditional concert halls and music festivals. Grounded in the belief that music is a powerful connector, Beatbox aims to foster a vibrant community around shared fandom and live participation.Role Description As a Host at Beatbox, you will be the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them, managing check-ins, and setting a friendly and inclusive tone for their visit. You will guide guests through the experience, explain how Beatbox works, and help schedule and coordinate room or table assignments. On a typical day, you will answer questions, provide recommendations, and support customer flow to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere. You will collaborate closely with the service and food & beverage teams to assist with basic service needs, resolve guest concerns promptly, and maintain a clean, organized front-of-house. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brooklyn, NY, requiring regular evening and weekend availability.Qualifications Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal interaction, active listening, and the ability to engage diverse guests in a friendly and respectful way.Demonstrated Customer Service experience, with a focus on hospitality, problem-solving, and creating welcoming, inclusive guest experiences.Ability to support and participate in Training, including learning new systems quickly and helping teammates adopt processes and standards.Familiarity with Food & Beverage service, such as basic menu knowledge, coordination with servers or bartenders, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.Comfort with Sales-oriented tasks, including promoting offerings, upselling experiences or packages, and meeting revenue or conversion goals.Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, music-driven environment with evening, late-night, and weekend shifts.Previous experience in hospitality, entertainment, or venue operations is preferred but not required; passion for music and community-building is highly valued.Ability to stand for extended periods, move around the venue, and occasionally lift or move light items as part of front-of-house operations.
