Registered Nurse - 3B Cardiac - 36 hours - Days

GENERAL SUMMARYProvides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.Unit Description:3B is a 16 bed cardiac general practice unit (with remote telemetry) staffing 4 RNs (4:1) and 2 NAs. Main focus is anything cardiac in nature (NSTEMI not requiring PCI, CHF, arrhythmia, new pacemakers, etc.) but also takes general medical and surgical overflow (except stroke).EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREDBSN preferred.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED* Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.* ACLS needed within 3 months of hireAdditional InformationOrganization: Henry Ford West Bloomfield HospitalDepartment: HFWB 3rd Flr B - CardiacShift: Day JobUnion Code: Not Applicable
