Come be a part of making our dream of easier and faster healthcare a reality!Job DetailsFull‑time | Remote (Brazil, with London HQ collaboration)The OpportunityThis is an exciting role for a fully qualified doctor to lead the expansion of a new digital health service in Brazil providing treatment for a range of conditions (namely obesity and erectile dysfunction at the outset). As Medical Director for Brazil, you will work alongside an international team, based in the UK, EU and USA to establish and lead a safe, effective and efficient service for customers in Brazil.This position requires knowledge and experience of general practice in Brazil. You will be able to advise on the current model of primary care; both in traditional bricks and mortar and digital health services. Personal experience of different routes of clinical service delivery (for example telehealth or digital health) is advantageous as is a knowledge of regulatory compliance and the ability to lead and innovate within the healthcare sector.You will provide leadership to the team responsible for Brazil and feed into the team responsible for HeliosX’s international expansion. Your day will involve communicating with the full range of stakeholders in a telehealth company, from customer services advisors to product designers and doctors.What You’ll DoRegistrationAssist with the registration of the company for telemedicine services with the Conselho Regional de Medicina (CRM), and act as the responsabilidade técnica de médico for the companyMarket entryLocalise & sign‑off on all protocols & SOP’s that will have been initially written for Canada, Germany, US or UK, to ensure compliance with local regulations and best practicesLiaise with product and clinical ops team to identify changes in service model, website and processes to comply with local regulations and best practicesCreate new SOPs as required for new services.Work with the cross functional team, including product, legal, marketing, HR and governance to enter the market rapidly, safely and efficientlyProvide horizon scanning to pre‑empt any expected changes in regulations and best practicesAssist in the sourcing, engaging and managing of alternative advisors where there are any gaps in knowledge or experienceMarket visibilityBrand ambassador (pr/events/liaison with industry networks/stakeholders)Contribute to blogs articles/social media posts, including the use of your name and photoMarket awarenessMaintain an awareness of regulatory issues and the healthcare ecosystem in Brazil, ensuring compliance whilst minimising variations from the core offeringConstant competitor analysis and roadmap adjustment to bring online new productsDeepen integration into the Brazilian healthcare ecosystem, with partnerships in pharmacy, primary care and secondary careStaying abreast of the changing regulatory landscape of the Brazilian online pharmacy and prescribing industryProduct developmentUse quantitative and qualitative data to constantly refine asynchronous services, specifically the forms, protocols and patient commsMaintain a product roadmap to bring online new products, with appropriate protocols and contentFeedback to the core UK team on existing and new products and servicesPrescriber teamLead (in conjunction with the Medical Director and Digital Ops Manager) in building prescribing team as the business scalesCustomer support (CS)Write clinical related macros for the customer service team to provide to customersLead on collaborative training sessions between CS and prescribers to ensure aligned adoption of protocolsClinical and operational managementClinical Assessments & Audits: Oversee clinical audits and assessments to ensure continual improvement and adherence to the highest standards of clinical practice.Update the prescribing and digital ops teams on internal and external guidance/protocol changes and provide education where appropriateInvestigate escalations, complaints and incidents raised by the team and manage patient communication where appropriate.Review patient emails and consultations and capture training requirements and recommended actionsAttend and contribute to monthly governance meetings, preparing analysis and insights in advanceProvide leadership to the clinical and operations teams in Brazil.
