SummaryUnder the strategic direction of the Vice President of Physician Recruitment and Engagement, responsible for the operational oversight of all aspects of the recruitment and staffing process.Develops talent search plans and conducts physician and provider recruitment searches.Oversees leadership searches managed by reporting recruiters.Manages the physician and provider recruitment team.ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with Physician and Provider Recruiters and leadership to develop and implement Talent Search Plans.Utilizes multiple recruitment strategies, including:Print advertisingElectronic advertisingSocial media outreachConference attendanceDirect mail campaignsOther proactive recruitment approachesDevelops and maintains relationships with educational institutions and residency programs.Attends national and regional medical society meetings and career fairs to:Increase organizational visibilityInterview prospective candidatesAssists in developing standardized recruitment processes and procedures aligned with organizational strategic initiatives.Manages associate recruiters’ workflow and priorities, including:Scheduling site visitsCandidate outreachSpecialty-specific recruitment researchResearches and identifies potential candidates based on strategic recruitment plans and assigned searches.Initiates candidate contact and conducts screening interviews for further evaluation.Completes initial interviews of targeted candidates for presentation to Search Committees.Maintains current knowledge of national and regional physician recruitment trends.Participates in professional networking and recruitment-related organizations and activities.Ensures compliance with all recruitment guidelines, regulations, and legal requirements.Oversees daily recruitment operations through leadership, development, and management of recruitment staff.Collaborates with key stakeholders to:Develop recruitment action plansIdentify candidatesCreate recruitment timelinesSupport physician and provider hiring initiativesParticipates in ongoing medical staff forecasting and succession planning efforts.CompetenciesStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to exercise decisive judgmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to perform effectively in a high-stress environmentKnowledge of physician recruitment practices and healthcare operationsEducation & Certification RequirementsBachelor’s Degree requiredBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferredMaster’s Degree preferredSHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferredSHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferredCertification required within one (1) year of employmentRequired ExperienceSeven (7) years of Physician Recruitment experience requiredFive (5) years of Management experience requiredAdditional InformationMay require specialized knowledge of a business lineMust demonstrate the ability to take appropriate action in stressful situationsSupports organizational strategic initiatives and workforce planning efforts
