Candidates must be eligible to practice law in Idaho and will be required to obtain Idaho State Bar licensure if not currently licensed. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting this requirement. This position operates within the scope of OVW-funded work and does not serve as legal counsel to the organization.About the Idaho CoalitionThe Idaho Coalition identifies, supports, and thrives as an intergenerational, multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural organization for the benefit of our team, our work, and our movement to end gender violence inextricably interconnected to multiple systemic oppression. Our focus is girls and women, and people who are gender oppressed who are impacted by or at risk of gender violence and systemic oppression. Gender violence (sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking) does not occur in isolation. Gender violence is part of the continuum of gender oppression and is fueled by social injustice including patriarchy, sexism, racism, classism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, religious discrimination, and anti-immigrant sentiment. Licensed to practice law with ability to obtain Idaho licensureSystems Change and PolicyMinimum 5 years of systems change work within criminal legal and or civil legal systemsDemonstrated commitment to addressing systemic gender, racial, and social biasPolicy Influence: At least 5 years of experience in legislative or systems policy work at the state or national levelGrant Management: Experience developing, managing, and reporting on federal and foundation grantsCommunication: Excellent writing, editing, and facilitation skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly across diverse audiencesPreferred StrengthsStrategic - Analytical, reflective, and forward-thinking with the ability to connect systems and movementsExecutor - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined with the ability to balance vision and implementationInfluencer - Confident communicator and advocate able to navigate institutional power with clarity and integrityRelational - Skilled in building trust and fostering collaboration across diverse communities with strong understanding of Idaho’s tribal, immigrant, and culturally specific communities or direct relationships with those most impactedPosition DetailsClassification: Exempt, full-time, 32-hour work weekReports to: Collective StewardshipLocation: Remote in IdahoStart Date: Open until filledSalary: $80,000 base salary.
