We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Diet Clerk you will prepare dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of foods for hospital patients.What you will do in this role:As a Diet Clerk you will examine diet orders and menus received from hospital units and prepare tallies of specific foods to be prepared in the kitchen.You will process new diets and changes as required. Generate and edit tray tickets, assemble tray ticket packets, and enters data into computer.As a Diet Clerk you will modify diets following standards established by Dietitian.You will answer telephone calls and relay information concerning meal changes, complaints, or patient discharge to Supervisor or Dietitian.You will prepare and deliver formulas and special nourishments to unit pantries.You will work Trayline/tray accuracy as required for timely and accurate patient service.What qualifications you will need:High School diploma or equivalent, supplemented by course work in nutrition.2 years of experience in food service operations.Experience and education may be substituted for one another.Computer experience preferred.Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.Founded in Fredericksburg, Texas, in 1971, Methodist Hospital | Hill Country is an award-winning healthcare organization that has gained a reputation for delivering remarkable care.
