Job Role: Mechanical EngineerRemote PositionMust-HavesBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering7+ years of Oil and Gas experienceDevelop project scopes, assist in proposal writing, writing technical reports, and performing engineering studiesEngineer O&G facility piping systems utilizing 3D design software such as Plant 3D, CAD WorxStrong understanding of ASME B31 piping codesJOB DESCRIPTION:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer with an Oil and Gas background or piping background to help us with our growing workload of oil & gas projects This position will be remote.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with project managers and the mechanical design drafting teamEngineer O&G facility piping systems utilizing 3D design softwarePerform pipe and valve sizing and material specificationsDevelop and coordinate pipe routing and layouts with the design drafting teamInterpret vendor data sheets and P&IDs to create accurate 3Ddesign modelsDetermine specifications and locations of equipment and fittingsFamiliar with ASME B31 piping codesWork with the Process team to develop P&IDsPerform site visits to assess, document, and report on existing conditionsReview isometrics, schematics, and P&IDs for accuracyDevelop project scopes, assist in proposal writing, writing technical reports, and performing engineering studiesAttends client meetings, communicating concerns and changes with the clientWrites project specifications (non-technical and technical sections)Coordinate with the project team and other disciplines to incorporate design information and client standards into the construction documentsFamiliar with Caesar II stress analysis is a plusQUALIFICATIONS:Experience with AutoCAD and 3D software design tools such as Plant 3D, CADWorxProficient with Microsoft Office softwareGood writing, organization, and communication skillsREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering7+ years of Oil and Gas experience
