The University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B).Job SummaryThis position works in the USPS Contract station area using a POS to sale stamps, money orders, and handing out packages. Place campus mail in departmental and student boxes through out the day. Responsible for all duties of the contract window including scanning packages, making daily deposits and other task assigned.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccepts and sorts mail.Sell stamps, money orders for the contract window. Do a daily report and deposit for the United Sates Postal service.Charges out mail for departments and applies postage with a meter machine.Rents and closes boxes for students each semester.Training of student workers to help work the contract station or other areas of the post office.Must be willing to follow all postal regulations when accepting mailing of packages.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh School graduate or GED.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMicrosoft officeMust be organized, self motivated, work with little supervision.Must have a drivers license and able to drive a company truck.Must have a cell phone to contact students by text or call about their packages.Preferred QualificationsExperience with money and working with a point of sale system. Must be bale to balance a money drawer each day.
