This position works with a team to make videos or audio recordings accessible for all students. The primary responsibilities of the position are as follows:Provide captions (subtitles) in English using specialized captioning software.Review course videos and other media to ensure accurate and complete captions are embedded.Add or edit captions when needed.Ensure that background noises, auditory cues, and speaker identification are included in the edited captions.Capture, store and retrieve videos, audio or other information.Operate computerized captioning system.Follow WCAG 2.1 Captioning Guidelines.This position must maintain student confidentiality in compliance withFERPA.This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Computer proficient.Ability to work independently or with little supervision, reliable, and able to complete work within time constraints.Preferred QualificationsStrong typing skills (50-60 WPM)English proficient, spelling, and proper use of grammar and punctuation.One year college experience or similar related experience.Strong communication skills (written and verbal)Work study eligible.Background Check?
