Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant
Job Overview
Immediate Medical Care is a privately owned group of urgent care facilities dedicated to treating the people of this community. We are currently growing and expanding our services. We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Phisician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a diverse skill set to provide comprehensive medical services.
Duties
- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments and make treatment decisions that are in the best interest of the patient.
- Perform Ambulatory and acute care
- Administer vaccinations, boosters, and other injections
- Conduct suture procedures and wound care
- Utilize physiology knowledge to deliver high-quality care
- Manage medical office systems efficiently
- Work comp and DOT Physicals
-Experience in Orthopedics, treatment of injuries and EMD
-Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, sonograms and xrays
-Take initiative, collaborate as a team, and provide high level support to acheive high level outcomes in patient care.
-Ability to provide basic life support in emergency situations.
-understands case management protocols and procedures.
-Prescribe medications and treatment based on the patient's needs and in accordance with state regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred
- Proficiency in patient assessment and treatment planning
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Familiar with electronic medical records, documentation protocol, ICD-10, CPT Codes
-Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and ability to effectively communicate with other medical providers and staff.
- FMCSA medical examiner license, preferred but not required
-Experience reading x-rays, labs, and sonograms
-experience in ambulatory or acute care settings, preferred but not required
Requirements-Current and unrestricted APRN or PA license in the State of Kansas.
