Dump Truck Driver Day or Night Shift

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Class B Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate dump trucks ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials to and from job sites. This role is essential in supporting our daily operations and maintaining our commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Operate dump trucks to transport materials to job sites. Ensure compliance with all state and federal transportation regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, reporting any issues to management. Maintain accurate logs of hours, mileage, and materials transported. Communicate effectively with project managers and team members regarding schedules and logistics. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety on the job site. Ensure that the truck is kept clean and organized, both inside and out, including truck beds. Qualifications: Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record. Minimum of two (2) years driving holding a CDL. Valid DOT medical card. Minimum 2 years of experience driving dump trucks. Proficiency in manual transmission operation. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed. Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Due to insurance carrier regulations, applicants for this driving position must be 25 years of age or older. Physical Demands: Strength and Physical Fitness: Perform essential maintenance tasks, including cleaning the truck's exterior and scraping the truck bed. Requires the ability to lift, bend, and maneuver effectively. Regularly bending and stooping to access equipment, secure loads, and perform maintenance checks. Hand and Arm Coordination: Continuous use of hands and arms to operate the steering wheel, gear shift, and various controls, requiring fine motor skills and coordination. Foot Coordination: Use of both feet for operating pedals (accelerator, brake, clutch), necessitating good foot coordination and control. Climbing: Frequent climbing in and out of the truck cab. Reaching and Grasping: Ability to reach for and grasp controls, tools, and materials, often in confined spaces. Prolonged Sitting: Ability to remain seated for extended periods while driving, which may last several hours at a time.
