Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen, you will execute dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintain a clean and organized work station, and support overall kitchen efficiency and safety. This full-time, hourly position is ideal for someone who is passionate about cooking, takes pride in consistency and quality, and thrives in a collaborative environment where timing, communication, and attention to detail are essential.What You'll DoPrepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standardsSet up, stock, and maintain assigned station(s) with all required products, tools, and equipment for serviceFollow proper food handling, storage, and rotation procedures (including FIFO) to ensure freshness and minimize wasteOperate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptlyWork closely with other line cooks, prep cooks, and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order executionMaintain cleanliness and organization of your station and shared kitchen areas throughout service and during closing dutiesAdhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including proper temperatures and allergen awarenessAssist with prep work, including chopping, marinating, batching, and portioning ingredients as needed for serviceSupport inventory control by communicating low stock levels, overproduction, or product quality issues to supervisorsParticipate in daily line checks, tastings, and team meetings to ensure readiness and consistency of menu itemsFollow opening and closing procedures, including labeling, dating, and properly storing all food productsContribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient kitchen culture by communicating clearly and helping teammates during busy periodsQualificationsPrevious experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or high-volume food service environment preferredBasic knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operationUnderstanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling proceduresAbility to read and follow recipes, prep lists, and station guides in EnglishStrong sense of timing, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to [X] lbs for extended periods during a shiftFlexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needsReliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and the ability to take direction and feedback from chefs and supervisorsLegal authorization to work in the country of employment
