RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and lead a team of warehouse workers to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.
Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders.
Oversee the pulling of materials, packing of skids or bundles, and placing orders in the delivery area, either by driving a forklift or utilizing an overhead crane.
Perform supervisory duties such as scheduling, training, and evaluating team performance.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
Utilize RF Scanners for inventory management purposes.
Read a tape measure to the sixteenth; experience with micrometers and calipers is preferred.
Pay close attention to detail in overseeing and conducting warehouse activities.
Follow and communicate verbal and written instructions to the warehouse team.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Demonstrate proven working experience as a warehouse worker.
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
Experience with cutting and banding equipment is a plus.
Ability to spend 80% of the day on feet.
Capable of occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs (22.7kg) and frequently lifting or carrying items up to 25 lbs (11.3kg).
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 (+) years’ experience as a forklift driver.
3 (+) years’ experience as an overhead crane operator with wireless remote.
Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse setting.
Proficiency in using RF Scanners for inventory management.
Competency in reading a tape measure to the sixteenth; experience with micrometers and calipers is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Flexibility to work overtime hours.
Proven track record as a warehouse worker.
Knowledgeable about modern warehousing practices.
Experience with cutting and banding equipment is beneficial.
Physical ability to be on feet for an extended period and lift heavy objects.
